If I didn't live to see them doing the same shit I would've said that you are a liar RIP And may god never forgive them for what they did to you and to the entire country

My heart aches and my tears are non stop this man is such an honorable brave man in a world where only evil is cherished History has not given him his true value and i feel ashamed of not knowing all that about him until now Reading his life story is like reading about the present with all the injustice and evil and same sick disgusting political ways that three successive revolutions could not cure It seems like it's this nation's destiny to be always fighting for freedom never tasting it May you rest in peace great man and may God take your revenge and ours from those who betrayed us all

If You read these memories of the first president of Egypt you will be amazed that he was an Egyptian Arab president It is one of the best and saddest books I have read by one of the best people who had vision for Egypt and Sudan too The man who officially headed the free officers movement and could have been executed if their coup had failed exposed their greed and tyranny also their arrogance This is a must read book if you want to understand the history of modern Egypt better

The major impact this book left on me was a shock A shock resulting from the great difference between the image school books created for Gamal Abdel Nasser as a great leader and the image of a despotic Nasser presented in this book School books are part of the corruption this country is sinking in The real leader of the 1925 Revolution was totally forgotten and humiliated for the benefit of Nasser and the successive regimes Despotism is the name of the game

An interesting read whether it was on its historical aspects or as an autography which deals with crucial and very important era to all Arabs; as it affected the whole nation due to the place which Egypt has as one of the Arab leading countriesThe book is highly recommended
