Miranda Rafael said through clenched teeth I beg of you do not drive me too far Rafael was annoyed No woman of his own nationality had l. this was ok but not much of a romance read in fact it's fairly difficult to tell whether the H is really interested in the h till the second half of the book On the plus side Anne Mathers' writing was as good as ever and helped me finish the book without being tempted to classify it as a DNF 2 stars

Miranda's sister and brother in law with their 8 year old daughter had been missing for four months their plane wasn't found Could they be alive after all this time Miranda lives in London she received a letter from the authorities in Guadalima Mexico stating that a young maybe 8 years of age blonde haired girl was found wondering in the mountains 18 miles from the town could this possibly be Miranda's niece Lucy? The letter states that the child has forgotten who she is it is impossible to say with any certainty who she might be She is being cared for by Father Esteban at he mission he has left it in Juan Cueras's hands to send someone to Mexico City to meet Miranda and bring her to the Hacienda Cueras Juan has become attached to the child and asks his elder brother Rafael to go meet Miranda's plane and escort her back Rafael has lived in Mexico City attending seminary to become a priest He works long hard hours for the people and resents being asked to fetch Miss Lord When they met it didn't take long for Rahael to size her up without a doubt he decided she was not unaccustomed to the ready admiration of the opposite sex It was there in the slightly slanting eyes in her awareness in the confidence she exuded and Rafael withdrew behind a façade of coldness that was totally alien to him The anger and tension in his face shocked her

This was a good book but I wish the h was a little stronger and had character because most of the time it felt like she was lost and didn't know what to do and she hardly ever stood up for herselfThe story was great and I loved it but I was also very annoyed with Juan
