But when their target is a time traveling younger version of Cable himself is there a line X Force cannot cross And what does Deathlok have to do with this time traveling insanity A reckoning will come and if X Force is lucky most of them just might survive it But wait. OuchLove Brisson's work most of the time love X Force but this was a miss for me The idea of bringing most of the original characters back to X Force was nice We have young cable on a mission after murdering his old self He's trying to protect someone That someone is a semi spoiler so won't spoil it here On top of that you have the X Force team hunting down Young Cable for what he did to old cable which was kill him in the Extermination Event Which was pretty good So yeahthat plus a lot of time travel begin to happen in this title I was really hoping for just a straight forward X Force brutal mission Instead it's a lot of jumping around time a messy origin that wasn't needed a dull villain and some sketchy art There's moment of fun dialogue and cool action shots but it's not often enough Didn't hate it but a missed opportunity for sure A 2 out of 5

The '90s mutant militia is back teeth gritted and hot for blood After decades of combat the man called Cable has fallen in battle Now his original X Force team of Domino Cannonball Shatterstar Boom Boom and Warpath reunite to hunt down his murderer and avenge his death. Ed Brisson bring back most of the original X Force along with Kid Cable to fight a mutant genocide in eastern Europe I had a difficult time getting past Dylan Burnett's poor art The story was OK but nothing special It does setup a new story for the back half of this run that holds promise The Meri Scott Show (London Loving Book 2) is back teeth gritted and hot for blood After decades of combat the man called Cable has fallen Matthew Everingham, A First Fleeter And His Times in battle Now his original X Force team of Domino Cannonball Shatterstar Boom Boom and Warpath reunite to hunt down his murderer and avenge his death. Finally a proper X Force title I feel like the team have been gone since Remender's run with the two series that came afterwards having nothing to do with the original team concept I was starting to loose hope but thankfully Ed Brisson seems to know what this team is all about Cable Warpath Domino Cannonball Shatterstar Boom Boom and Deathlok makes up this awesome team who start this first volume with a fun yet pretty generic mission against an anti mutant regime dealing with some of the aftermath of the extermination event along the way Nothing groundbreaking but still a perfectly fun read specially for old fans of the team was really nice to see these characters interact again and hopefully this is just the start of a badass series Dylan Burnett was also a brilliant choice for the art I loved his work on the Cosmic Ghost Rider and he nailed it on this book as well such a cool cartoony styleview spoilerStryfe though really AGAIN? I want some new villains for multiverse's sake hide spoiler

This follows on from Brissons Extermination book as the original X force seek out the young Cable I’ve not read any of the original X force so seeing them together didn’t do much for me in that sense but I enjoyed this Some of the Transia stuff felt a bit on the nose and cliche at times but other than that it’s a fun enough read

Lead by a younger version of Cable X Force are backkind of Boom Boom Cannonball Warpath Domino and Deathlok unite with the time traveling teenager to try to liberate a small country from a mutant hating regime and Ahab who has Cable in his sightsEh This is fine I've never been a huge fan of this incarnation of X Force previously and they don't do a lot to sell me on them here Cable's fun although all of his problems could be solved by sitting down and talking rather than running away all the time Cannonball's mostly a non entity while Domino makes jokes and Warpath yells They all feel very one dimensional as if Brisson really wanted to just write a Cable story but had to include them The flashback explanation issue at the end goes a little way to humanize the new Cable but it's actually part 1 of a 2 part story that Marvel have sliced in half so it loses a little oomphOn the art from Dylan Burnett is hot off his Cosmic Ghost Rider mini series but his exaggerated style doesn't work uite as well for these characters Everyone looks a little stretchy Cannonball has an especially big head and it's kind of distracting The flashback issue is by freuent Brisson partner Damian Couciero who actually does a better job of suiting the characters here I thinkNot a patch on the Kyle and Yost or Spurrier X Force runs so far I'm afraid but nothing too offensive

X Force are pissed with 'Young' Cable and track him to Transia where the supposedly mutant friendly dictatorship that runs the country appears to have New Caanite era tech you know from 2000 years in the futureThe non stop violence violence and violence leaves little room for any character catch up after the events of Extermination bar will they or will they not trust Young Cable Still good to see almost the original team back together and some proper old school Cable themes 6 out of 12

So we have here what's pretty much the seuel to X Men eXtermination Baby Cable and X Force hook up and fight Ahab plus some bigots It's not a particularly innovative plot but it does give us the opportunity to learn about Baby Cable and for X Force to decide how they feel about him murdering Old Man Cable; I personally find their response weakThe story only gets truly interesting after four issues of who cares fighting against the rulers of the newest mutant havenmutant abuser country Because that's when we learn about Baby Cable's origins where he came from and why It's a little bit of the timey wimeyness promised in ExterminationOverall an entirely OK comic but nothing

Look I get it You hate mutants You think that we're out here doing all sorts of bad stuff Killing people and blowing up Times Suare over and over and over But most mutants are good people Like the X Men They're trying to make society a better place They've dedicated themselves to saving lives We however are not most mutants We're the mutants you're terrified of
