I was surprised by this story and not necessarily in a pleasant way The front cover claimed it was ‘so beautiful and poignant it will take your breath away” The scene on the front is of a beach chair with flip flops and books I expected some disappointments since the back of the book said a bond was shattered between the twins but I did not expect the book to be so gritty and have such darkness to it I might have enjoyed the book if the description had better matched the story I remember going to see Thelma and Louise thinking it was supposed to be a comedy and it ended up or a drama or black comedy Even though the movie was a good one I did not enjoy it That is how I feel about the book The book had a dark side that I was not expecting and did not enjoy

In the beginning I really liked this book and was intrigued as to what happened to these twins in their past It was just way too melodramatic By the end of the book I did NOT like any of the characters What really happened?? Who really loved who? Who was telling the truth? But I guess in the endwho really cares Overwrought with lies betrayals selfishness and plain evil uite a depressing book In my mind Eve didn't redeem herself one bit And what type of mother would walk into her daughter's life for a few hours to say good bye admit she is a bad mother and walk out again before the daughter dies That whole section was ridiculous

Pieces of my sisters life was gut wretching terrible but yet truly genious Arnolds story is captivating From 1994 to 2007 my oh my how the world has changed for the twins From playing in mud falling in love and death Kerry and Eve's worlds never seemed to be so far apart This book made me want to scream the way Arnold tells every piece of the characters life seems unrealistic but very true Anyone who reads this will find their mind spinning and their hearts pounding It's a great book

It was okay I read the whole thing but uestioned why almost the whole way through I really just wanted to know what the hell happened that she refers to throughout the entire book Of course it was a letdown Not horrible but not worth 450 pages of my time either

I absolutely loved this book Elizabeth Arnold did an amazing job especially for her first book Her writing skills were also amazing A perfect day read keeps you wanting to know I really enjoyed how Elizabeth kept going between the past and present; especially when you wanted to know why things were in the present when they were the same in the past I also enjoyed the struggle between two sisters Makes you realize that even through blood you can be hurt emotionally from a family member At times I felt that the two sisters were just friends then anything blood related because I just could not imagine a family member doing something as cruel as Eve did It's sad to read though the struggles they went through as children which I feel is what helped push for the betrayal at the older ages And Justinwords can not express the disappointment I had for him in the end Though he is a typical male I expected from him Besides the drama that went between the sisters and their love for Justin this book was amazing I highly recommend it to everyone Whether your looking for a beach read or just a luxury read this is definitely a book for you

I just finished this book this past weekend I have to say this was a splendid novel There have been times when I just was so angry with my sister I thought my head would pop off and I think the author does a wonderful job of detailing those things that just irritate us about our siblings while also examining the strength of blood even after a betrayalThat being said here's a short summary Eve and Kerry are twin sisters raised solely by their father since the age of 6 When tragedy strikes the girls must face the responsibilities of the adult world while also trying to complete high school They also have to deal with the ups and downs of love sex betrayal and loss The story occurs in the 1990s and in the year 2007 which I think works very well for helping move the story along and show how these two sisters are able to put their past behind them and forgive each otherI would absolutely recommend this book to anyone It was a well written story from a new author and I look forward to reading by her in the future

So far so good I keep getting these preminitions about Eve that aren't so good I know she's going to end up breaking Kerry's heart Well I was rightEve did break Kerry's heart But with the twist towards the end of the bookit wasn't as cut and dry as I thought it was going to be This is a great book about family Twin sisters Eve Kerry grew up without a mother and with hardly any help from their father Lots of sibling jealousy but love is the underlying fact throughout the entire story This was an excellent story of love love lost and love found again A story of the bonds between twins and sisters best friends close knit townsfolk and lives in a small townVery good Elizabeth Joy I liked how you jumped back and forth between the past and current day without losing the reader I can't wait to read your next book

Twin sisters share everything from the womb to their 17th birthday when a tragedy befalls them which has a greater effect on them than the fact that their mother walked out on them years ago After being apart for 13 years they are once again together but you wonder whether they will be able to overcome the bitterness and hatred between them that has not abated or dimmed with the passage of timeI liked the author's style of writing and it was such a wild idea for a plot that you certainly felt the need to keep turning the pages to learn what was going to happen I also had to suspend my belief of reality because there were some major events that took place in the story that I don't believe the adults of the teens in the book would actually allow to transpire
