MEATHAUS certainly didn t invent the whole idea of a comics anthology but it s the kind of book that ll make you think otherwise An über team of creators gives it their all in SOS spilling passionsentimentcoolrage onto the page They re stories are beautiful and brutal bizarre and brazen all told by guys like James Jean Farel Dalrymple Brandon Graham Tomer and Asaf Hanuka Thomas Herpich Jim Rugg Corey Lewis Matt Furie D pi R. I expected Brandon Graham there were some cool drawings but no story Still overall it was a pretty good anthology some good stuff by some good people some good stuff by some people I didn't know the usual psychedelic stuff that I don't care for but not so much of that so that I felt like I wasted my money

With stories darker and less linear than previous incarnations of this anthology SOS still manages periodic brilliance including Farel Dalrymple's shadow men Hanuka's best Wrenchie's coverriff and brilliant bizarre work by James Jean and Zachary Baldus
