Ves and must embrace the life he abandoned in order to secure her freedom In this riveting preuel to the bestselling Awakened series Jason Tesar sets in motion a sweeping fantasy epic birthed at the very foundations of mankind when our prehistoric world collided with supernatural forces spawning an age of mythological creatures and heroes Interview with the Author – What was the inspiration for the Wandering Stars series A – I’ve always been fascinated by the subject of angels fallen angels Nephilim and demons As a religious person I carried this metaphysical perspective into my study of myths and legends And to my surprise I found much common ground between it and the Greek Roman gods as well as the heroes and monsters of Norse and Viking mythology I wondered if one might have caused the other if the myths were actually true at their core As I constructed the fictional universe of The Awakened series from this idea imagining how the story would play out in our modern existence I couldn't help but be drawn in by the backstor. Y as well And the I imagined the surer I became that such an epic beginning reuired its own series – What makes this story uniue A – Like many other fantasy authors I have enjoyed reading the stories of Tolkien The richness and depth of his invented cultures and history are an inspiration While that level of authenticity is also the goal for my own writing Wandering Stars pushes the conventions of the epic fantasy genre in a completely different direction By building upon a foundation of comparative mythology and tweaking some of its assumptions I've created a story that offers a uniue and exciting view into our own origins And the result is not your standard fare of elves and dwarves swords and sorcery or knights and dragons While some of those elements are present the civilizations are original and the environment is immersive What you’ll find is a tale that is both realistic and fantastical Uniue yet familiar It is a large scale prehistoric clash of civilizations that will challenge what you think you know about our world. Great spin offpreuel to this authors other series The Awaked but can totally stand alone I rated it only a 4 because the odd character and place names along with their descriptions in the beginning were hard for me to conceptualize If I had not already read the Awakened Series and known the talent of this author I might have stopped reading but I am glad to say the chapters following the 1st did Not disappoint The story picks up and takes off uickly dragging you with it My advice is to at least read the first few chapters before putting this book down You can read a detailed synopsis at the authors website wwwjasontesarcom

Jason Tesar a modern fantasy master in my opinion has plunged into a preuel to his Awakened series and has crafted another great fantasy adventure with a uniue believable world great characters and a plot that keeps you turning pages Add to the fact that he regularly offers his books for GREAT prices and this is book is one any fantasy lover can't pass onThings to know This is an adult book with plenty of violence references to sex rape and murder that may be inappropriate for young readers

A Dense ReadI struggle with books like this where so many of the words seem foreign and incomprehensible As with most fantasy the author crafted entire species with completely original names My confusion is due to the author's investment into this worldIn all it was a good story with a pretty straightforward plot I did like the fact it leaned into some of the Biblical characters and added a grand sweeping and epic story between the angels the Holy One and disobedient angels I also thought it was intriguing how different the varying factions of angels were and how each faction had a different roleIn all good read

Loved this book that related Saba's origin and journeys The author provided a nice mix of fact and imagination to create realistic angelic scenarios in this tale of fallen angels

I'm speeding through the alphabet now and Incarnation by Jason Tesar was my TWhen I started reading this book I found it hard to get into it It starts in a battle in the Eternal Realm between angels and demons and seems a bit same old But do persevere as it does get better Sariel falls in love with a human which isn't permitted There is also the story of Enoch who is a prophet he leaves his home wife and child to walk miles in order to preach the Holy One's message Unlike other prophets his message was for angelsAs a Christian this was my context that I put the book in but I would be interested to know if it can fit other world views or religions that have angels and demons? So yes I found the beginning of the book a bit unnecessary many of the names of places types of angel and their weapons have too many vowels including 'y' as a vowel silly I know but that's how I felt You do get used to them and understanding the differences between the types of angel becomes relevant as the plot progresses I confess though that I still didn't understand all the different weaponry vaepir or vandrekt amongst them I also don't know why they are always written in italics?Once I got into the main part of the story I did enjoy it and have added the next in the Wandering Stars Series to my wishlist
