I enjoyed this a lot than I expected to Great writing although I didn't realize it was supposed to be a retelling of Cinderella until I read some of the other reviews I would definitely read by this author view spoiler I found it impressive that the author made me cry not when a character's cancer returned but when her sister lost her job hide spoiler

Classic story I got it as a free download I rated it four stars not because of the characters or story line but because of the intelligent humor delicate and 'in between the lines' jokes and because without warning the author makes you laugh out loud which is uite surprising for an easy read like this I re read it after a few days just to pay attention to the word choices and small details

A romance novel has pretty straightforward expectations but this one had me hanging in the balance than a few times I really wasn't convinced for the first part but then I just couldn't put it down When someone is in the hospital you are in the hospital I hesitate to say because there were places where I just was not sure how it would turn out In real life there is than one happy ending

I was sent a free ePub of this book through some email list I'm not sure how I got on A uick easy read kind of Mary Higgins Clark ish but without the mystery I could easily see it turned into a Hallmark Hall of Fame type movie
