Clans of ScotlandI enjoyed these stories so verra muchMist WarriorBranan is so distraught at only 12 years old when his mother dies he feels he has been betrayed but not by his mother but by the man he thought was his da He thanks the heavens to know he is not his da He is so grateful he is not the bairn of this man that murdered his mother When the man tries to kill him as well he runs for his life and is found by Catriona a young lass He is raised by her family for a time then sent away10 years later he finds out his step family is murdered and goes and seeks his CatrionaCatriona has cared for Branan even so young She is running for her lifeSuch a wonderful story of the Highland men of Scotland It's intriguing with lot's of action mystery sorrow intense love and wanting with desire that it makes for a good storyI do recommend it verra much I did not find any errors and if there were any it is over looked by the intensity of this storyDemon LairdOh my Again I enjoyed this story as wellI found myself so enthralled with the emotional feelings of RonanA man scarred not just physically but mentally and emotionally Tortured beyond measure by the English He walks in the shadows hiding who he is so afraid of what his people will think of him They are so verra afraid of their laird that they call him the Demon Laird He needs help with his healing and his brother sends for a healerLia the healer is sent there to heal this laird but on the way she hears stories of the demon laird It does not dissuade her from helping him but he loathes her She is EnglishThe emotional and physical scars of the characters were so compelling that I felt myself wanting to cry with a heartfelt sorrow for them I was so entranced by their feelings it was just over whelming in a good way I love a good story and this one has all the elements of oneThe characters are well developed I truly enjoyed this one I love history especially from Scotland and felt I was in the mist of all that was happeningSuch a well written story I just couldn't put it downNay I have not finished the novels yet but I wanted to put my thoughts out there so that maybe you too would want to try the books These are not shorts stories or novelettesShadowed Hawk Aiden would never compete with his brother he loves his brother and he is just as mischief as his brother So what sets him apart?Aiden has a talented brother who seeks to protect his Laird the only way he knows how finding others who know secrets He travels afar to seek these people and listen to their whispers Being the youngest he will never have a chance to have his own home never have his own wife or never have his own bairn; he feels he is unworthy because of his status in life But he accepts itKenna is betroth to another She has been shunned by her father beaten by her father and her father gives her to another; someone like him He has accepted her life as it truly isn't her own She is a strong character in this story who only wants to be loved and accepted and be able to stand on her own There are so many twist and turns in this story which will keep you so enthralled throughout It is intense in it's own right and will keep you involved to find out how it ends Or begins Highlander's Hope I so enjoyed this one by far It starts off with Connell who has vowed to protect Mairi and her bairn Adam even with his life It is truly well crafted with all the right elements of a fascinating story How do two people learn to trust when both have lost so much in their life? Throughout the story you will learn what caused their sorrow and what it takes to be whole It is sorrowful compelling with a lot of action It has mystery and is mystical with acceptance of who they are I so loved all of the stories verra much and I felt the emotion in each story I cried and laughed Thank you for writing wonderful stories and showing us a little history in the Highlands of Scotland

Mist WarriorBranan has one chance to reclaim what was stolen from him his title inheritance and his legacy But he is not prepared for what greets him when he returns to England The home of Branan's foster family has been burned to the groundStartling was my first thought The author does not ease you into the main story but this sits well with this readerBranan grows up with the comfort of his mother's wonderful stories about the finest knight that ever lived Unfortunately he must also live with his step father who is an abusive murdering liarAt the age of 12 Branan's mother lies abed dying and she tells him of his true heritage Then to save himself from his step father after his mother passes on he runs away to his foster family He grows older with a foster brother a foster father and the wild Catriona Unfortunately as he is whisked away in the middle of one night it may be that Branan will never have a future to look forward to Not as long as his treacherous step father lives and is out for his bloodThe author has a very descriptive rich world that she draws you into Of course you love the hero and heroine but there are secondary characters that will tug at your heartstrings There is one and the author handled this character masterfully who seemed to be the stereotype of that age What happens to him will make you cheer then cryDemon LairdCaptured and tortured by the English during Longshanks's war against the Scots Ronan MacGrigor finds the strength to escape only to suffer the fear and rejection of his own clan Forced to stalk the shadows at night Ronan becomes a prisoner of illness fear and memories The villagers whisper of a curse—the Demon Laird made a deal with the devil—now the devil demands his dueI finished this last night and I still feel breathlessThe author deals with a hero who is not entirely perfect; he suffers from a type of epilepsy known then as the Falling Down SicknessIt is a terrifying affliction to grow up with but with the help of his parents and his devoted brother he grows to become the laird of Clan MacGrigorIt does get worse when Ronan is tortured by a sadistic villain that he has just the Nth degree of strength to escape from Aye he escapes but he is not well He has become something that even his own people are afraid ofRonan's brother goes across the border to get help from a famed healer Instead of her Sueta sends her apprentice LiaLia finds herself in a land strange and amongst people that are just as odd Yet she IS a healer and she will help whoever needs her On her first day at Ronan's castle she finds herself in the midst of a plague Somehow it seems familiar but she does not have all the puzzle piecesLia also discovers that The MacGrigor is a puzzle to solve and as she learns about him and begins to fall in love she is determined to bring Ronan back to the land of the livingShadowed HawkAidan MacGrigor is the Hawk In the midst of Longshanks's war against the Bruce intrigue is Aidan's currency and he is a wealthy man His birds softly sing their songs of information and Aidan uses them to strengthen Clan MacGrigor Though his life is one of solitude he has come to savor the freedom it affords him even if it means sacrificing the joy of having a wife and family of his own He is resigned to his lot in life until fate sends a bruised and battered sparrow his way and his instinct to love and protect takes over It was wonderful to learn About Aiden as he watched over his birds and listened to their songsI think this is the first story in which women take up arms and fight Kendra the heroine is displaced from home by a less than loving father and a skunk for a betrothed She finds the life of being one of Aiden's birds alluring It provides her with a freedom that very few women knew in that day and ageThrough Aiden the reader learns about a good man in whom family means everything His fealty may be to king and country but his loyalty and love are to his brother When his brother finds love with Lia Aiden is reminded that as a second son with no inheritance to speak of such love such a family is not in his futureKendra has no family no future and she does not care that Aiden is so destitute She loves him and that is all that mattersAiden's brother Ronan is not like most brothers Lairds he would not mind at all having his brother with a family in his castle Aiden has learned through his birds that Ronan's wife Lia is not the foundling they and she thought She has a dowry land and she gives this to Aiden her brotherHighlander's HopeConnell and Mairi have left the safety of MacGrigor Castle hoping to reach Edinburgh vanish into the busy city and elude the Scottish and English mercenaries hunting them and their infant ward the bastard son of the newly crowned King Edward II and a pawn in the war for control of Scotland’s futureWith his family dead Connell has nothing left to lose He willingly puts his life on the line for Mairi and wee Adam but he cannot give Mairi what she wants than anything his heart Holding himself apart from everyone his grief and guilt threaten to defeat him faster than any mercenary blade for at his side is a constant reminder of everything he has lostConnell's story is the most bittersweet of the MacGrigor's and the most poignant There is so much of his life his losses to understand and identify with Mairi seems to be a skittish lass and really appears to have no substance than run hide protect Adam She is than that and as she blossoms Connell sees this and he begins to let go of the past To love once
