no spoilers of the previous volume or this oneThis was great It's reminding me why I fell in love with the anime so much There is so much tension between the characters due to their complex emotions I love that Kaname and Zero have a complicated relationship because AND despite of Yuuki Their backgrounds are so strong and that impacts how they interact with each otherYuuki is stuck in the middle but not because of some crush but because they're both the closest thing to family that she's ever known Kaname is her first memory the one who saved her life years ago and found her a home the one who taught her things and helped her relearn the world Zero is the one who came to her broken the one she helped pick up the pieces in the wake of a tragedy the one that had nothing to hold on to but his pain and her kindnessIf you're gonna do a love triangle DO IT LIKE THIS One where everyone matters one where each character is layered and make it harder for the reader to choose Kaname and Zero are complicated people on their own they have a lot of pain and weight in their lives and I think Yuuki is a light for both of them They also have lots of difficult feelings towards one another which shows but they don't go on fighting to win the girl or some other petty thing They know very well that hurting each other would hurt her and she's is the closest thing they have to family as well ugh I love everyone here and I'm so happy to be with these characters againBlog | Twitter | Instagram

Wow Another great installment Again brillant story and artwork I just loved the part where Yuki goes to Zero and says There is only one thing I can do for you and I've finally realised what it is and lets Zero drink her blood I was like awwwwwwww The first book I loved both Kaname and Zero eually but this book was all about Zero for me Although when Kaname says Id do not want to lose her he made swoon I am a romantic fool Can't wait to read the next one

Vampire Knight 2 was just as great as the first installment I continue to be amazed with the artwork and the detailed story that is masterfully depicted with such few words and intricate drawingsIn this installment Zero continues to struggle with his change to vampire and Yuki stands by him regardless of the danger it poses for her We learn about the vampire hierarchy and meet the newest addition to the series Toga Yagari Zero’s master who is also a vampire hunterI enjoyed the small snippets of comedy Matsuri Hino infused in the storyline and I must admit I'm still Team Zero Great seuel that makes me eager to start VK3 Love it

I read this volume so fast I find manga goes by really uickly and I am enjoying this story I will say what I said in my review of volume 1 though I don't get very attached or invested in mangagraphic novels and I think i'd enjoy the anime than this I didn't feel that much happened in this volume and the vampire hunter stuff passed by way too uickly I liked seeing of Zero and how complex he is I'm definitely favouring him right now because we see of his story than of Kaname's

Usually I have a tough time reviewing manga because the stories are pretty consistent throughout their runs and sometimes it is hard to review a single volume without at least dredging up the storylines from the last volume But review I shall since I have so much to say about the second volume of Matsuri Hino’s popular series “Vampire Knight”In this volume Yuki Cross one of the guardians of Cross Academy realizes that her partner Zero Kiryu is having trouble coping with being a vampire after a terrible incident where a vampire killed his family years ago Not only that but when Yuki goes outside of school grounds one night she is suddenly attacked by a vampire and since she injured herself early on she could not defend herself against the vampire However two students from the Night Class who are also vampires ended up saving Yuki from the attack When Yuki asks the two night class students who turns out to be Takuma Ichijo and Senri Shiki why they rescued her they ended up telling her that once she comes to the Moon Dormitory at midnight all will be explainedNow it has been awhile since I had read the first volume of Matsuri Hino’s “Vampire Knight” series and my memory is a bit rusty about what this series is all about So let me just recap a bit about what the overall gist of the series is Cross Academy is a school that is attended by two groups of students One group of students is called the Day Class where normal human beings attend during the day and the other group of students is called the Night Class where only the vampire students attendBasically the goal of Cross Academy is to have humans and vampires live together in peace and harmonyYuki Cross and Zero Kiryu are the guardians of Cross Academy as they make sure that the Day Class students do not associate with the Night Class in order to protect them from the vampires Now that I recapped the idea about this series I now would like to give out my opinion on this volume Matsuri Hino has done a brilliant job at writing and illustrating this novel as the characters are all extremely memorable and the artwork is gorgeous to look at I loved the way that Matsuri Hino really portrayed both Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryu as they truly stood out so much in this novel It was really intense in seeing Zero Kiryu coming to terms with being a vampire and how he is constantly suffering throughout this volume because he does not want to give in to the allure of sucking blood from human beings Yuki Cross was a truly amazing character in this volume as she was the one who tried to help Zero Kiryu through his ordeal and I loved the fact that Yuki is so kind towards Zero despite knowing that he is a vampire I also loved the humor in this novel and despite the fact that this series is about VAMPIRES; there are many hilarious moments between the characters especially during the scene where Yuki and Zero go shopping Matsuri Hino’s artwork is truly gorgeous to look at as the characters’ hairstyles are creative and just looks so smooth I also loved the way that Matsuri Hino put some shadowing on some panels where the characters have intense looks on their faces as it really brings in a somber mood to the sceneThere are some bloody scenes in this novel especially with some of the vampire characters sucking blood out of some miscellaneous characters and that can be a bit disturbing to anyone who does not like seeing blood in a manga Also this was something that bothered me a bit personally but the fact that Zero Kiryu spends almost the majority of the volume brooding about being a vampire and trying to resist his urges of draining blood from humans got a bit tiresome for me I understand that what we are seeing is Zero struggling with his inner demons but I would like to see Zero actually trying to overcome this ordeal and try to move on with his life despite being a vampireOverall “Vampire Knight Volume Two” is a great volume for anyone who is a huge fan of Matsuri Hino’s “Vampire Knight” series and is definitely worth checking outReview is also on Rabbit Ears Book Blog

I like the increasing mystery and chaos of action I love the increasing action as well in the love triangle Although I don't uite feel like I know Kaname enough yet I so far love Zero and Yuki together Something about Zero is appealing to me than Kaname right now However knowing me and how I am with love triangles that I get heavily invested in I'll soon become conflicted A few times through reading this I got confused as to who was speaking but that happens to me sometimes when reading manga xD view spoilerYuki and Zero's forbidden act is heating things up and the possible foreshadowing of what Zero is likely to become is making things slightly intense hide spoiler

I love Manga – it’s special and different when compared to American comicsstories Manga borders on the silly while having serious moments This one is no exception I loved itYuki is the adopted daughter of the headmaster of a special boarding school The day classes are fairly normal but at night a different set of students come to learn and they are vampiresYuki works as the special guardian with Zero Their job is to keep the vampires a secret and prevent them from harming the human students Both Yuki and Zero have been victims of vampires in the past which led them to the academy Yuki has no memory of her life before vampire Kaname saved her from another vampire As is common in Manga there is a love triangle between Yuki Zero and Kaname I get the feeling that she loves Zero but we’ll seeIf you love silly romance or anything vampire – I recommend this series I’ve read through volume 3 and I hate having to wait to get my hands on future volumesMatsuri Hino also wrote Captive Hearts – a super silly comedy about a man who is cursed to fall in love with a particular girlShe has a great style and I love her inserts about her life as she writes these stories

Yuki's supposed to be cool right? I mean she's leaping off buildings and standing up to vampires on school grounds but then when she's actually confronted it's up to Kaname or Zero to save her I hope that Hino decides where she'd like her heroine to fall before too long It's hard to like a character that comes across so helpless when she's not supposed to beThere's a couple of scenes in this one that were a little well creepy Kaname's possession of Yuki when she and Zero visit the Moon Dormitory and the scene between Zero and Yuki where she offers to help him Both illustrate the relationship that Yuki has with these two characters and both show what she is willing to give of herself

This book is about the history behind Zero and his enormous hatred of vampires There is a flashback of what happened four years ago when he was sent to live with the headmaster and Yuki after the death of his family and this volume also reveals the secret he has kept from Yuki throughout the years regarding his humanityThe author has admitted this volume is about Zero than Yuki who is supposedly the main star of this series and that she plans to amend it in the next book I honestly don’t mind bringing the enigmatic Zero into the limelight since a lot from this book has cleared up why he and the other characters behave in a certain manner especially with the inclusion of several “special chapters” that serve as significant side stories This is a fun read overall
