H brainy sexy Monica whose close knit Sikh American family would sooner run him out of town than see her with a notorious rodeo romeoIn private Monica and Dean play as hard as they work But as the rodeo draws near that clean break they promised each other is getting and hung up in the rigging Warning Contains rope play motel nooners and a cowboy charmer with a taste for kin. 35 starsI really enjoyed the beginning and end of this uick hot read The problem was there is no middle There’s a lot of nice groundwork laid between Monica and Dean with their instant attraction scorching the pages as they get to know each other and start working together Dean gradually manages to coax Monica into letting down her guard and things between them get very heated Then it’s three weeks later and the story starts winding up for the endIt was a bit of a jolt and even though most of what is missing in those three weeks appears to be sex I still would have liked to have read at least some of it Mostly because of how things clearly change and deepen between them These are two very different people – Monica is a business brainy girl with a family who interfere constantly in her life while Dean is a brave confident rodeo star with a sick father and romantic scars The start of the book makes an excellent job of showing them just starting to get to know each other then the next thing we know its ropes and toys and their time is coming to an endActually the kink felt pretty superfluous to me From the description I was expecting a lot but really the rope adds nothing Because we don’t see their relationship progress to that point it comes out of nowhere adds very little to the scene and felt like an attempt to make this a little hotter It didn’t need it These two are already scorching togetherSo as you can tell I found this book a little frustrating What we get is really good I loved these two together both in the bedroom and out I loved the hint of Sikhism and the clash of cultures between Monica’s family and Dean I loved Dean the things he’s dealing with and how he faces his problems I like Monica too and the things she was willing to do for her sometimes overbearing family It ticks so many of the right boxes for me that the missing middle feels worse than it normally wouldOverall this is an enjoyable hot romance that’s about than just sex It has interesting characters and some compelling chemistry Just be prepared to fill in some of the gaps for yourself However as sad as that missing middle makes me I still think this is a good read and would gladly read from this authorI received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

Cowboy Resurrection is book two in the series Cowboy Cocktail by Mia Hopkins In the short span of the pages of this book Mia has managed to somehow fit an entire story beginning middle and end I never felt rushed or overwhelmed and she made me sigh made my tummy flutter and made my toes curl What could a girl ask for?Monica Kaur’s family is from India Sikh American Although her family still lives by their strict traditions she has managed to make a name for herself in the marketing world and has landed her dream job in Silicon Valley But she has put everything on hold for a few months while she returns home to Oleander to try to save her family’s Inn She has put her marketing skills to work and is planning to put Oleander back on the map and hold Oleander Rodeo Days To make it a success she needs to enlist the local bull fighting hero Dean Mackinnon to participate But he hasn’t exactly been answering his callsDean left the circuit to come home and help run his family’s ranch His father is sick with cancer and they need his help When Monica first approached him face to face she was a hard woman to say no to The attraction to her was immediate It didn’t take long for them to give in to it and let me tell you it was definitely steamy Their sexual desires were eual in intensity They had to keep their fling a secret though Even though Monica is thirty two years old the cultural differences in their upbringings would never allow them to be together Monica’s family expects or rather demands that she marry a man from the same heritage as she is They would never accept a cowboy “Both of them were stuck here only in passing two roads intersecting in the middle of nowhere on their way to somewhere else” I absolutely loved this book just as much or maybe even than the first one I loved the characters and my heart broke for them and the situation they found themselves in And the ending sigh was just wonderful This is an amazing series and I am so glad I found this author

Monica Kaur has returned to her hometown to help promote a rodeo in order to help out her brother's business She just needs to meet with a local bull riding hero Dean MacKinnon to get him to sign up to help with the rodeo to make it a success but after a few No's and several unreturned phone calls Monica needs to get a little creative to enlist Dean's help When Monica and Dean meet the two are immediately attracted but with Monica's protective family that expects her to marry a Sikh not a rodeo cowboy the pair find themselves beginning a secret affair Monica and Dean agree that their affair will have to end after the rodeo anyway and they are both consenting adults but will the pair be able to part after so much time together?A wonderful little read with an opposites attract theme Monica is the good girl that wants to please her family but has also built herself a life in the city but when she returns home she tries to please them but stay true to her own wants and desires Dean is the hot and sexy cowboy that tried marriage once but doesn't plan on ever letting himself fall in love again The two have chemistry that is off the charts and compliment each other wonderfullyThe religious aspect of Monica's family was also an interesting added element to the story making the romance a bit taboo if she wants to stay the perfect daughter in her families eyes I found it a bit frustrating that someone in their thirties wouldn't stick up for their relationship but I'm not from a family with their views so it was an eye opener to think she would give up Dean for her family Overall great characters with a steamy hot relationshipI received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest reviewFor reviews please visit

Another show stopper from the wonderful Mia Hopkins A truly great short read This book had it allWell developed intriguing main charactersSublime writingFast paced plotScorching chemistry and tons of the sexy stuffInteresting world building ANDCowboys 'nuff saidAn interracial relationship and the challenges that invokedCultural introduction to the American Sikh community which I found completely absorbing and thoroughly refreshing and originalI read Cowboy Valentine last year and enjoyed it so when the opportunity arose to read the next book in the series I jumped at it This was an even better read and Mia has managed to accomplish what most writers haven't accomplished for me hook me on a book of this length Most times I read shorter novels I am left feeling disappointed in the character development Mia delivered in this regard on this occasion I adore her writing too; it's beautifulDean and Monica fall into insta lust pretty much straight away but their relationship develops naturally as the book progresses I was left fanning my face in several places at their sexy shenanigans and their chemistry was off the charts I loved the risue nature of their relationship and the fact they had to sneak around behind her family's back It was in eual parts fascinating and abhorrent to witness Monica's transformation from super intelligent highly successful career woman into a meek cringing shell of herself whenever her family were around To think this is the reality for many women in the modern day is shocking and saddening Though I could relate to her father's sentiment when he told Dean they had to protect their minority community and ensure their traditions and culture didn't die out I can understand that on one level but on another level if you are living in a different country you also have to adapt your culture to align to the culture of the country you are now a resident of The balancemarriage has to be correct and I don't believe it's right for any grown woman to be basically forced into marrying against her will though it has to be said they weren't picking the guy or actually forcing her into an arranged marriage but the effect was going to be pretty much the sameI loved the diversity and all the little Sikh influences One thing I wish had been shown was exactly how Dean managed to change her family's minds I felt that part was too rushed and it seemed too convenient That's the only reason I knocked off a half star otherwise the book was perfection on a pageIn summary this is a superb read and if you are looking for a uick read that is refreshingly different then you should pick up a copyActual Rating 45 StarsThanks to Barclay Publicity for providing a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review

This book opens up with Monica Kaur needing to talk to a local rodeo star Dean MacKinnon She needs this rodeo to be a success not just for her but for the town and her families new venture into buying an inn that she thought was a mistake In her family though she does not have a say Her older brother does even though he does not have the business degree from Stanford that Monica does Dean finally agrees to go out to look at the site for the rodeo and after they talk they end up kissing After a few days working together to get everything in place for the rodeo he takes to a place that she did not know about even though she grew up there The they spent time together working the their physical attraction for one another heated up and because of her family they had to go to a town far away for their time together this went on until right before the rodeo and they were seen by one of her aunts coming out of an hotel By the time they got back into town it had blown up and she was for bidden to see him even though she was a grown woman of 28 Her family being of India and him being white and not of the same faith caused a stir She leaves town after the rodeo for a new job in the bay area and he is stuck trying to come up with a way to show her father that he is truly in love with his daughter You must read the book to find out what happens This is a good story I got this book from netgalley Follow us at www1rad readerreviewscom

Loved itCowboy Valentine was one of my favorite reads last year and I enjoyed this one just as much Like Valentine Resurrection has a rough tough cowboy and a smart sexy heroine who can't get enough These characters are older though in their thirties They're both confident successful and experienced Monica is a savvy businesswoman and Dean is a famous bearded bullfighter She asks him to star in the rodeo she's organizing He's interested in getting in her pants than starring in her rodeo but he can multitask Yeeeehaw I really loved the sense of place I've been to CA's Central Valley and I know a CA author when I read one The setting details are fantastic This isn't Hopkins' first rodeo either She writes about cowboy culture with a deft hand The writing is excellent the emotions leap off the page and the sex is downright earthyOnce again the author gives us a well endowed hero and a smalltight heroine This matchup always makes me think ouch but the heroine loves it If you like monster cocks this one's for you About the multicultural element I giggled in delight at some of the banter between the hero and heroine including the where are you from originally? conversation It was spot on and gently funny I believed in the pressure Monica felt from her strict religious family I did feel that the portrayal of Sikh men as stern and joyless contrasted too sharply to the cowboys who were all hot and sexy I wished for a fun sister for Monica or hot brother to balance that out However Dean's conversation with Monica's father is wonderful and went a long way to bridge the gap between cultures All in all this is a feel good romance with a strong career minded heroine a swoon worthy working class hero a great setting and lots of lovingly detailed sex 4755ARC provided by authorWriting sample He lowered his lips to her ear I could see it in your eyes the moment you walked into the Silver Spur I can feel it rising off you nowShe closed her eyes as his warm breath washed over her skin What? You're a woman in need of lovin' I could help you with that I'd love you up good

Inter racial and with BDSM elementsMonica Kaur is the epitome of the good girl After her fiancée dumped her and uickly married another her family see her sitting on the shelf and decide to marry her off She returns home to help with her family's ailing inn business and spearheads a local rodeo to bring in much needed cash to the area Enter Dean MacKinnon local badboy rodeo star with a laundry list of conuests Dean is trying to ignore the exotic beauty but finally caves and givers her advice on the rodeo As they are pulled together and often finalising the rodeo details they surrender to the scorching hot chemistry they share and Dean introduces Monica to some non nice girl sexy times But when they are caught almost in the act will Monica bow to family pressure and honour her family's wishes or will she follow her heart to Dean knowing that he's not strong on commitment? Will Dean find in Monica what he's been missing or will he leave her disappointed and despondent? An absolute must read Fabulous characters with a great insight on religious and cultural differences within even long established IndianSikh American families Brilliantly well written and Dean could scorch the stoutest timber Give me

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads This is a fun read with a rather lovely message in it and with some good research to make it realistic both in terms of rodeo and also Sikhism For uite a short book this packs in a good chunk of story Monica and Dean are a match made in cowboy country but a need to respect the traditions of her parents ensures that any encounters have to be in secret And wow they have some seriously hot 'meetings' about the upcoming rodeo in all manner of discreet places Love the passion and fun that these two have until the rodeo comes to town To find out what happens next you will have to read the story but it is lovely
