I knew something heart wrenching was going to happen in this book This author has such a way about her writing that I can't get over it I continue to think about the books even after I have read them and want of them I cannot wait to see what happens next and I cannot wait to see what else this author puts out I enjoyed this story a lot The rebels have come up with a plan to go against president Vider and the rest of the crazy people in this book Emma's dad and sister are nut jobs and I really cannot express that I really liked the way the author portrayed this as well as the writing of the after math of what happened Emma has a lot to deal with and dealing with guilt on top of what already happened in book one it's interesting to see where she ends up in the end of this book She literally has nothing to lose at this point and I really think the next book she is going to come out as a warrior and just abolish everyone in her path I really like the three sister connection as well and that they all may have some sort of path to this all I look forward to finding out When Ren gave her the book I was excited to find out and then we only found a little and I assume this next one will piece it all together Ren was great again I said it last time and I will say it again I think it really adds to this story It is a such a hilarious part of the story and really just shows Ren in a different light as well He is still him but not at the same time because you can tell that he does have some sort of feelings for his niece and hope he really plays a big part in the end Overall I really loved this story It has adventure heart break mystery and a little bit of kicking butt I look forward to reading the next book and many from this author I highly recommend this series and this author Received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review

WowAnother beautifully written story by Sarah Noffke Like the first book I was immediately drawn into Em's worldand it is a bright beautiful place It sounds crazy to call it bright with all of the battles she is dealing with but Em has a brightness and beauty of spirit and it makes even the hardest situations light The girl is brave gentle and tough as nailsThere were definitely dark situations in the second part of this storythe darkest coming at the end That ending tore at my heart Needless to say I need book three uicklyAnother escapeanother fantastic story Keep it up Noffke

Check out my blog to see Reviews of Book and Movies and check out some RecipesOh man so much to say Defects was so amazing and it's not so much that Rebels wasn't amazing as that Em didn't seem as strong and independent as she was in Defects Em as a character felt younger and naive' to me I find the title very fitting and this book was a lot like LOTR II where there is a massively long movie gearing up for war but it just is a LOT longer than it needed to be Rebels felt as if it was trying to fill space for me without really much foreground action I can appreciate what will come and I am honestly very excited to see the culmination of all that has happened come to fruition in Book 3 Warriors Overall the biggest issue I had while reading this was the slower pace and the logistics I didn't feel as though there was a lot of care being taken with the planning and moving around with just Vider's senses they would have been detected and thwarted long ago Also why has Em never leached Zack? Why is Em so naive when she admits things and then goes on like she didn't All the screaming and no one does anything about it Not very convincing We have Ren though at least so it would be interesting to see what he has been up to this whole time Overall I have to leave this book with a 35 stars Given the ending which I am not happy about Sarah you know why it was just so wrong to pull that one on us especially after you even sent me those photos to feed my obsession I can't wait to move on to Book 3 and see where all this planning led PS Why is there a horse on the cover ; It's beautiful but why? I received a copy of this book for free with the For Love of a Book Read Review Opportunity Program

FREE ARC FROM AUTHORAfter running away with Rogue Em lives happily with her new found love in their new house Except that Rogue's headaches keep getting worse and she can't bear it any Determined to make him better Em sets off in the middle of the night back to Austin Valley to seek the help of Doctor Parker and bring him back to Rogue Once there she reunites with her other best friend Zack but he seems distant than usual and says things Em can't make sense of To gain Doctor Harper's trust she will have to break the mind control Vider has over him all while remaining hidden Astonishing discoveries lead to the truth about the death of Rogue's mother and the ultimate lengths that Vider has gone through to achieve his goals Em is disgusted and the she learns the she realizes she has to stop Vider at any costOkay i LOVED the first book You can find my review for that here The only book that actually made me cry as in full on tears and not sobbing was clockwork princess because come on it was GENIUS Rebels kept my heart on a whirlwind throughout the book it kept me high with exhilaration and action AND THEN IT BROKE MY HEART IN 2 and cue to crocodile tears That ending just i can't even wrap my head around it I actually wanted to toss my kindle on the floor and i actually screamed in my pillowi know i can be dramatic but i just love these characters I took a while contemplating if i should give this book a 3 star because of it but then i though it was worthy of a five star Because it really made me feel and that's how i know this is a great story because i am so attached to the charactersEm is growing stronger by the day Her determination grows and i can't help but feel so proud of the girl who used to sneak into her dad's office who is now breaking into medical labs She becomes this symbol of rebellion even though her rebellion only consists of Rogue Zack Nona Parker Tutu? and herselfshe doesn't let that dampen her goals i Think my only problem with her was the fact that she couldn't see that Zack loved herOne of my favorite things about this book is the bad guy Vider I don't know how the author managed to make me hate him even than i did before he is the most repulsive and cruel dystopian villain i have ever read about The plots associated with him were just GENIUS I loved every second of it and man i really want him to die He doesn't even deserve to live after what he's done I won't tell you what read it and feel the disgust and shock for yourself The side characters are all well developed and we really come to love each and every one of them For example Tutu Em's grandma is hilarious and cheeky Nona is a hell of a determined fighter and Ren Em's uncle never fails to make me laugh He really has this attitude thing going on but you know he has a soft spot for Em and i loved their banters Definitely one of my favorite charactersI know book 3 will be EPIC Th last part of Book 2 left me heartbroken and i wish it was false i really wish But it feels like its definite and i have a feeling Em will be completely warrior like She will be deadly and she will create the best rebellion yet in the YA world For me this rebellion actually surpasses that of Mocking Jay because Em is doing everything herself She isn't merely a symbol she is the root of rebellion The emotion in that last chapter just wowSarah Noffke is definitely taking the dystopian world by storm and i can't wait to see what happens next

Rebels picks up a few months after the end of Defects Rogue and Em are free from Austin Valley but they both know that their peace is only temporary They must continue the rebellion against the evil President ViderWhen Em realises that Rogue’s health is deteriorating she goes back to Austin Valley in search of a solution When Rogue follows her they find themselves muddled up in even secrets and lies surrounding Vider and his uest for ultimate power The two of them team up with Zack and Nona in order to take away some of Vider’s control over the Valley I loved Em being reunited with Nona The relationship between the two sisters is wonderful to read and I think Nona is a key part in the rebellion What I also found interesting was Em’s discovery of her true name and what it means There is definitely to the story of her Nona and the third sister Dee I’m excited to further explore the connection between them and their namesRen was back in Rebels and he was just as fabulous as ever Although he acts constantly irritated by Em and her uestions I think he is secretly growing fond of her If anyone can help her figure out the path to getting justice for the Valley it’s Ren Even if he insists he doesn’t care I adored the relationship between Em and Rogue They work as a team always looking out for one another I found their relationship to be different to what I usually read in YA simply because it was a healthy relationship They were genuinely good for each other It wasn’t some whirlwind romance that had occurred over the space of a week Theirs was a relationship built upon friendship and years of history together Although I knew Rogue was hiding something throughout the story I was in no way prepared for what it turned out to be It hit me like a train I had my heart shattered by the ending of this book I was actually on a train whilst I was reading the final few chapters and once I figured out what was going to happen I had to put my Kindle away until I got home because there was no way I was going to subject myself to that emotional torture whilst on public transport The one character I have mixed emotions about in this book is Zack I don’t know whether it’s because we don’t really know too much about him or whether it’s just that he pales in comparison to Rogue’s vibrant personality but I’m torn on whether I like him or not With the ending of Rebels in mind I’m certain we’ll be seeing of Zack in the final book Warriors so I’m hoping he will get his chance to shine and my opinions will be changed As heart breaking as I found the ending the one positive I can take away from it is that I know it’s going to make Em ruthless She was determined to end Vider before but now she will be completely cutthroat I’m excited to see her strength growAs exciting as ever Rebels is another fantastic edition to The Reverians series Sarah Noffke always delivers a gripping plot and well developed characters I’m beyond ready to read the final book
