I truly enjoyed reading this book It is about my hometown of Owen Sound my Great Aunt and Uncle and about a WW2 This book gave me a new sympathetic perspective on Germans in WW2 I truly felt like I was on the front lines with my Uncle The details of what a day in the life of a soldier at war was shocking I definitely have so much respect for the people who have fought in any war after reading this book I thought this book was beautifully written Though biased I wouldn't be posting a review if this book hadn't truly inspired me It is a must read
