Battle of the sexes led to a night of shocking private passionand an unexpected pregnancyleaving no strings Nora and love shy Stephen staring straight down the shotgun of motherhood and shudder matrimo. Probably like 35 stars but Nora was just a tad too abrasive for my taste

REVIEW Unexpectedly ExpectingLone Star Canyon Silhouette Special Edition No 1370

Tephen Remington MD to a tee Though the townsfolk considered him the ideal candidate to scale Nora's defenses and soften her heart the sexy widower had vowed never to love and lose againBut their public. Just a nice uick read with a good story I liked Darby's sassy attitude and don't we all want a handsome insightful guy to get us like Stephen does How attractive is thatStephen isn't perfect though as he is chasing demons from his past just like Darby is and even though he strives to do the right thing it's really the wrong thing and he's clueless to how all of this can be hurtful to Darby Darby herself is independent and set in her ways after been being publicly dumped by her fiance and living with the fact that her father abandoned her mother and their 7 kids She doesn't need a man and makes it so clear that all men steer clear except Stephen When she finds out she's pregnant she's overjoyed because she sees it as a way to have children and not worry about getting married except Stephen doesn't see it that way at all I would like to read in this series as I enjoyed the setting of a small town in Texas and I enjoyed the townspeople and Darby's family I will definitely look for books

SUMMARY Ö THARROWEBDESIGN.CO.UK ☆ Susan Mallery

Sassy hairdresser Nora Darby had a chip on her shoulder the size of Texas Abandoned by her dad and betrayed by her fiance she was anti man anti marriage and mouthy about it to boot All of which suited S. I really didn't think I would like Nora She was harsh and unforgiving in The Rancher Next Door but you find that was the facade she chose to hide behind I will say that I enjoyed how outspoken she was and I'm glad to see that Dr Stephen saw past all of that to the real her She was full of love and compassion and strength This is what healed the doctor from his past and his understanding and patience with her attitude is what healed Nora from past hurts as well They both needed to address their demons and only then could they be happy together

Although I couldn't really get into Stephen because he seemed of a prototype of a doctor rather than the real thing Nora was wonderful I loved her edgy comments her willingness to live life her way without worrying about other opinions and the fact that she wasn't trashy as so many free wheeling hair stylists are portrayed The story itself is believable and fun to re read

Unexpectedly Expecting is by Susan Mallery It is a uick and easy read about taking chances It is really good although it may not be uite as good as some of her other books That could definitely be because it is much shorter than some of the others However it does grab your attention from the first chapter until the last Stephen Remington has come to Lone Star Canyon Texas to be the general doctor he has always wanted to be He left a lucrative ER post in Boston to finally live out his dream as a country doctor The six months he has been here have already proven he was right to come Today his skills may be needed as a tornado races through the town Thankfully there is relatively little damage and few severe injuries In his race to get people into the shared shelter he meets Nora Darby owner of the Snip ‘n Clip hair salon he can see from his office window For the first time in a very long time he is immediately attracted to a woman and wants to get to know Nora He is not looking for love or a long term relationship Nora Darby does not want anything to do with men She was deserted by her Father when she was young and again by her fiancé She does not want to be let down again She also does not want to be the object of town gossip which is highly probable in the small town Even as she resists Stephen’s overtures of friendship she is attracted to him When he suggests their having an affair with no strings and no falling in love or wanting any future relationship she agrees Has she made a mistake?
