I'd have easily given the story 5 stars but the editing again let this author's book down as I found with another I read by her Out of consideration to the author I promised I would email her direct with my findings so won't repeat them hereI understand why some self published authors choose not to pay for a professional edit but if it were me I'd have to It really makes the difference in the reviews they get Many readers have no issue with errors they happen across and it doesn't affect their experience but for me it doesa great deal The author writes great stories but I really hope she'll get the next one professionally looked at and I'm sure she'll be at the top of the bestsellers in no time I liked Kayleen although I guessed some stuff way ahead of her which wasn't right she was WAY brighter than I am and a true expert in her field and I don't believe she should have taken so long for the penny to drop in the case she was investigating It brought to mind the JonBenet Ramsay case when you read about the beauty pageant performances Those things are finding their way across the pond and it's not good I think they're bad for young girls I wonder at parents tarting their daughters up the way they do I liked the cover on her previous book a great deal too I'd still give her another go as long as she chooses a proper editing process though next time The Harpist of Madrid you read about the beauty pageant performances Those things are finding their way across the pond and it's not good I think they're bad for Daniel (Council Enforcers, young girls I wonder at parents tarting their daughters up the way they do I liked the cover on her previous book a great deal too I'd still give her another go as long as she chooses a proper editing process though next time
