For years now I have been a fan of wuxia novels and desparately searched for english translations of past favorites in any form be it novel graphic novel or web based fan translations It didn't dawn on me until a few years back to seek out new stories already written in enlish; but then my search ended up pretty fruitless as the west wasn't intersted in these types of stories I only mention this to frame how excited I was to find this bookThe book certain carries the feel of classic wuxia novels; kind of a wild west uest Lots of interesting characters that come and go about the story And every complex plot developing And deep character connections Overall I enjoyed the book but felt confused for uite a bit imagine reading in the 3rd person where you should have an overarching view of everything but only being able to experience the first person Eventually some uestions get answered and some situations reveal themselves but as in life you still end up with a lot of unknowns this is frustrating to me just because I'm the sort of guy that likes to know the answer but it adds a certain sense of realism to the story I am excited to see how the next next book develops

For a self published work the uality in this book surpasses even some firm published works which should speak volumes on how good this is An epic fantasy tale Can be uite hard to read at first because the backstory is only revealed as the story progresses but it gets better Some aspects of the story isn't very straightforward can be hard to understand without close reading Overall though a great book for all fantasy lovers While there is some romance here and there it's not heavy enough that it detracts too much from the story Nevertheless they seem genuine enough for me to get behind and root for them I do hope the Ashne Braksya ship does manage to flow though view spoilerin the later books that is considering they only manage to get to the level of mutual trust thanks to our distrusting heroine hide spoiler

It was an okay book considering it was an independent release with probably very little feedback and proof reading to it it was uite decentWhat bothered me most was Zasaran at the beginning of the book she was fine and well and by the middle of it she appeared again fine and well only so that just a chapter or two later to get her to be long dead in fact that really confused meI don't know about the paperback version but in the wattpad version I got really puzzled with thisOther than that the story was decent all in all kept to a single plot with little to no confusing characters in its midst For a beginner's work it was well done ^^
