How had they managed to capture such a seasoned warrior?Dancer of the Nile The Gods of Egypt #3 by Veronica Scott Whoopsdid not realize when I chose this book it would be uite so action orientedI felt it was a bit predictable and I knew where the story was goingSPOILERSI think I'd have enjoyed this alot had I read the whole series Freuently I read books as stand alones that maybe in a series Sometimes that works It did not work this timeI liked the atmosphere and world depicted in the book but it was way action oriented and romance oriented then I had thought it would be I was anticipating something that moved at a slower pace and was dialogue drivenNot right for me but fans of Historical Romance with alot of action seuences will enjoy it

Romantic Egyptian Mythological Gulliver's TravelsIt took me a while to get into the book The first third went slowly By the time they escaped there had been no Supernatural events As they traveled through the desert they ran into multiple unusual instances that reminded me of Gulliver's TravelsThe later 23 were different It was clearly a Egyptian mythological influenced book I enjoyed the different encounters with the gods and goddesses and the style of the descriptionsThe love scene was erotic and graphic However it confused me She very clearly said she had never given a man a private dance However her behavior and lack of pain definitely made her seem uite knowledgeable and experienced I was not 100% certain if she was a virgin or not The love story was beautiful and ended with words just as sweet However I would have liked an epilogue with a few details between betrothal and deathWhat can I do for you?” she asked looking him full in the face and smiling “You do so much for me—” “Just love me” he said gathering her into his arms and lowering his lips to hers And so she did for many long and happy years until the gods kindly took them both into the Afterlife together forever as promisedI would try another book by this author

35 4 starsThis was a pleasant surprise There was a lot of action and some romance and some supernatural stuff going on in here And let's not forget that it was set in Egypt in 650BC How often do you find romance books about that time period? Not often I'll tell you I'm definitely going to have to go back and read the others in this series ARC provided by the publisher via Netgalley

Entertaining enjoyable I liked the strong female character who didn't sit back and rely on the hunky soldier to save her but actually got off her backside and saved the day herself on than one occasion I've seen other reviews for this that moan about it not being believable Well when the book description clearly says Aided by the Egyptian god Horus and the Snake Goddess Renenutet beset by the enemy’s black magic then unless you actually believe in this stuff of course it stretches credulity I enjoyed it and if you're prepared to accept that it's a work of historical fantasy and not 100% historically accurate then you might too

fun adventureStepped outside my comfort zone here with Egyptian history didn't realize it had so much paranormal influence with the Egyptian gods Interesting But really just a well written fast paced story of escape and a race to save Egypt Sexy but not overly so
